Booking & Planning

We recommend booking two to four weeks ahead for sunset sailings, especially Friday fireworks dates and the Nova Five Star Signature tier. Last-minute seats are sometimes available; call our concierge to check.

Yes. Date changes for parties of one to nine guests are accepted up to 24 hours before the cruise. Group bookings of ten or more require 15 days notice for any change. Email or call our concierge with your confirmation number.

Yes. Validated parking is available in the Aloha Tower Marketplace garage, a short walk from the gangway. Optional round-trip Waikiki transportation can be added at booking.

What to Expect Onboard

Resort casual or aloha attire is appropriate for the Buffet and Deluxe cruises. For the Signature Nova Five Star cruise, most guests dress up slightly, although a jacket is not required. Comfortable shoes are recommended for the open observation deck.

Friday evening sailings stay out an extra hour specifically to give guests open-water views of the weekly Waikiki fireworks. Other nights focus on Diamond Head sunset and city light views.

Standard sailings depart at 5:30 PM and return by 7:30 to 7:45 PM. Friday cruises return at 8:20 PM after fireworks viewing. Check-in opens at 4:45 PM.

Yes. The Buffet and Deluxe cruises feature the Moku Ola Polynesian show with the largest cast on island waters. The Signature cruise hosts a featured live jazz performance in the Super Nova Ballroom, with soft piano music during dinner.

Dining & Drinks

The Pacific Star Buffet includes one signature Mai Tai and a Pacific Rim buffet. The Three Star Deluxe is a plated five-course dinner with a champagne toast and two premium drinks. The Nova Five Star Signature adds private-table seating with two super premium drinks.

Yes. A vegan plate is available with 24 hours advance notice on every tier. The Buffet line includes salads, sides and rice options. Most special diets can be accommodated, please mention any restrictions at booking.

No outside food or beverages are allowed onboard. All cruises feature a full bar with premium cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic options.

Families & Accessibility

Yes. The cruises are family friendly. Infants two and under sail free, child pricing applies to ages 3 to 11, and the buffet and entertainment are designed to keep all ages happy.

Yes. The Star of Honolulu is the only fully ADA compliant dinner cruise vessel of its kind in Hawaii, with elevator access between decks and accessible restrooms. Please note your accessibility needs at booking so we can arrange ideal seating.

Cancellation & Refunds

For parties of one to nine guests, cancel at least 24 hours before departure to avoid a full charge. For groups of ten or more, cancellations require 15 or more days notice. Late arrivals after the ship has departed are treated as no-shows and are non-refundable.

The Star of Honolulu sails in nearly all conditions thanks to its size and stabilizers. In the rare case the captain cancels a sailing for safety, you will receive a full refund or be rebooked at no cost.
